[This post relates to real events; what is described is actual people doing actual things.  The names have not been changed.  Any inaccuracies are memory related.]

 

Everyone on their own for breakfast. On the road to Houston.  SARJ driving truck; SJP SUV; SJB with CLB in car.  Arrive Houston.  Heavy bed (craftmatic) moved from second floor down narrow, turning stairs to first floor and out sliding patio doors.  Desk moved from truck through same sliding patio doors and placed in corner.  No damage to condo.  Bed moved into truck and secured. Watch KS memorial video; very touching, bittersweet. Bags and other organization.  Last group photos for weekend.  SRK to Hobby with CLB; SJP, MDO to Intercontinental with LHG.  SARJ and SJB in truck to Dallas.  LHG to switch SUV for car and drive to Dallas.  Boring drive to Dallas.  Saw a giant statue of Sam Houston.  (“Largest statue of an American hero.”).  Saw Texas Prison Museum (“I wish everyone could have come to Dallas, it would have been fun to stop there.”).  Lunch at Whattaburger.  Stop for gas; so many overtly stupid people at gas station.  Continue drive into Dallas. Talk to Martha (MJ) on phone, SJB more than happy to cook dinner if MJ can do some shopping; MJ can and does. Arrive Dallas. The home in which MJ allows SARJ to stay is very nice.  MJ happy to see SARJ, but comments that we stink. Alexis (AJ) happy to see SARJ (“Daddy”) and doesn’t appear to be bothered by smell.  Move bed (heavy bed, awkward bed) through front doors (double, at least 8 feet high) up 18 stairs (wide and straight) to second floor.  No damage.  Boxes and other stuff off truck and into library/office and pantry.  AJ helps move boxes and bags of clothes.  Rest for a little bit.  AJ eats dinner.  SJB showers (not sure if SAR did or not).  AJ finish dinner after feeding green beans to Elmo.  AJ bath and to bed.  SJB starts dinner.  Folks begin to report travel experience; MDO arrives fine in LAX; SRK delayed hours and hours at Charlotte connection; SJP no report. LHG finally surfaces with phone contact; will be joining us for dinner.  Have dinner and conversation.  Watch Entourage (on Tivo, I think).  LHG departs for parents house.  To bed relatively early.
